Incredible loss, incredible journey. I first heard of Simon when I saw a TED talk that he gave. That led me to this astounding book.
I recommend this book to everyone I meet who is dealing with either American insurance companies or doctors. Simon’s insights on both, forged through painful trial and error, are eye-opening.
While the information about the fair itself was very interesting, it paled in comparison to the intrigue of one of America’s first serial killers. Unfortunately the pages dedicated to the former outnumbered those dedicated to the latter a good two or three to one. The result is a read that is a bit dry for my tastes.
